Ampol announces national Foodary rollout of Cooee Cookies
Friday 11 July
To coincide with NAIDOC Week celebrations, Ampol has unveiled a national rollout of Cooee Cookies across the Ampol Foodary network.
Cooee Cookies are a vegan and allergen-friendly snack alternative that celebrate Indigenous culture through the diverse flavours of native Australian ingredients such as wattleseed, muntries, Kakadu plum and strawberry gum.
"Cooee Cookies not only taste delicious, but are also 100% plant-based, gluten-free, nut-free and dairy-free while over half of our range is soy-free," Cooee Cookies founding director Terri-Anne Daniel said.
"Each cookie is infused with a signature native superfood, grown on Country and mainly sourced from Indigenous growers, using Australian botanicals that have been part of our land for thousands of years.
"Cooee Cookies ensure future generations can experience unique and delicious flavours from the wisdom of the world's oldest continuous living culture."
A key objective of Ampol's third Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), launched in November 2024, was to increase Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander supplier diversity to support improved economic and social outcomes.
Ampol Executive General Manager, Group General Counsel, Faith Taylor, and General Manager, Merchandise, Jason Joukhador, hosted Terri-Ann Daniel and the Cooee Cookies team in Sydney during NAIDOC Week to sign off on the agreement.
"Ampol remains committed to playing an active role in increasing Indigenous supplier engagement across its retail convenience network, and our relationship with Cooee Cookies is a testament to this," Joukhador said.
"Customers lucky enough to have already tasted Cooee Cookies will be excited that we will soon be rolling out their range to over 500 Ampol Foodary sites across Australia."
