Eastern Creek - Friday 16 January
Ampol has continued its investment in premium highway locations with the redeveloped dual Ampol Foodary Eastern Creek service centres now officially open.
Located on the M4 Motorway in Sydney's West, the Eastern Creek sites are another example of Ampol's commitment to powering better journeys along key commuter routes across Australia.
Minister for Climate Change and Energy and Federal Member for McMahon Chris Bowen was on hand to officially open the sites on Friday morning.
The Eastern Creek sites bring together a range of high-profile quick service offerings with Hungry Jack's, Oporto, Boost Juice and, in an Ampol first, Soul Origin.
Complementing this, commuters travelling east and west along Sydney’s busiest motorway will also have access to Ampol Foodary’s popular convenience offering.
The refreshed offer can be enjoyed in the revitalised food court with indoor and outdoor dining options, a dedicated children's play area, and an enclosed off-leash dog parks cater for furry friends tagging along.
Brand new, separate fuel and diesel canopies ensure a seamless experience for commuters no matter their journeys. Long haul drivers will particularly enjoy the reinvigorated amenities including ample parking, a trucker lounge and shower facilities.
Both Eastbound and Westbound sites will host 10 new AmpCharge electric vehicle (EV) charging bays* which each include four network first-of-its-kind, drive-through charging bays, allowing for larger commercial vehicles and EVs with trailers to easily access charging.
Two state-of-the-art ABB 400kW EV chargers have also been installed as part of the Eastern Creek Westbound hub – another first for the AmpCharge network – representing some of the fastest EV chargers in Australia and ensuring reliable and convenient charging for consumers and commercial customers.
"The incredible dual redevelopments of Ampol Foodary Eastern Creek is the next step in our investment in premium highway service centres and follows the recent revitalisations of our M1 Wyong and Pheasant Nest sites," Ampol, Executive General Manager, Retail Australia, Kate Thomson said.
"With over 300,000 vehicles travelling daily on the M4 Motorway, our redeveloped Eastern Creek sites are strategically placed to ensure commuters can refuel and reenergise in the comfort of our world-class facilities.
"We're excited by the firsts that Eastern Creek brings to our network, with Soul Origin opening as part of a new partnership arrangement, and the additional capabilities of our AmpCharge EV charging bays to get drivers charged up and back on the road quicker."
