Terms & Conditions

Ampol Australia Petroleum Pty Ltd (Promoter) is conducting a Trade Promotion (Competition) by way of a game of skill for individuals (Participants) to win one of two Trackside General Admission double passes and a Garage Tour of the Red Bull Ampol Racing garage at the Sydney 500 at Sydney Motorsport Park on Friday 20 – Sunday 22 February 2026 worth approximately $1,480 (Prizes).  Participation in the Competition is subject to the following terms and conditions.

Competition Period

1 The Competition will commence on Friday 6 February 2026 at 9am AEST and will conclude on Friday 13 February 2026 at 5pm AEST (Competition Period).

Who can enter?

2. This Competition is open to all Australian residents except:

(a) employees of the Promoter and their associated companies and agencies (Ampol employees); and

(b) immediate family members* of Ampol employees.

3. Only one entry per person is permitted. Duplicate entries, or entries from persons who do not meet the above criteria, will be disqualified.

4. A minor can enter the Competition with guardian consent. If a minor is judged as a winner, they must be accompanied by a guardian at the event. No additional tickets will be allocated.

How to enter?

5. To enter, Participants must, during the Competition Period submit a short-written submission of 100 words or less answering the following question: “What do you like most about the Red Bull Ampol Racing team?”

6. Enter by sending an email with your answer to community@ampol.com.au. Your email is deemed as submitted at the time it is received by the Promoter. Emails which are undeliverable for any reason (including due to typos, server issues, or content flagged as spam) will be disqualified.

7. Your entry must contain your full legal name, address, email and phone number.

8. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age, place of residence and other eligibility criteria) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.

9. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.

Draw and notification of winner

10. The entries will be reviewed and individually judged by representatives of the Promoter.  Winners of Prize will be announced on Monday 16 February 2026

11. The successful entrant and their club will be contacted in writing and phone by the Promoter and details may be published on the Ampol website (www.ampol.com.au/kurnell) and/or in the Kurnell Community Update following the draw.

12. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

13. The Prizes are not transferable nor exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash OR other consideration.

14. Prizes will be made available to the winners by 5pm Thursday 19 February 2026. Time and date of the Garage Tour will be scheduled by the Red Bull Ampol Racing team and will be confirmed by 5pm Thursday 19 February 2026. The winner agrees to take part in some media around wining the prize, as and when required by the Promoter. This may include being featured in the Kurnell Community Update.

Ancillary Costs

15. The Prize only includes the two Trackside General Admission double passes and the Garage Tour as expressly stated.

16. Competition winners will be required to arrange their own transport to and from the event.

17. All other ancillary costs of accepting the Prize and attending the Sydney 500 are to be borne by the winner.

Unclaimed Prize

18. The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to identify and locate Prize winners.

19. If the Prizes remain unclaimed within two days after the winner has been announced then the Prizes will be forfeited and, an unclaimed Prize draw will be held at 2 Solander Street, Kurnell NSW 2231 on 18 February 2026 at 10am.

20. The winner of any unclaimed Prize draw will be notified in the same manner as set out in clauses 9-13.

Use of Participants’ personal information

21. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice if they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.

22. The Promoter collects personal information (PI) to conduct the Competition and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers and prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this PI. By entering, entrants consent to the Promoter using the information to conduct the Competition, contacting the entrant in relation to the Competition and publishing the winners’ names in accordance with these terms and conditions.   The Promoter uses and handles PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at https://www.ampol.com.au/privacy-policy. The Promoter may, for a reasonable period of time, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. An entrant may opt out of receiving further communications of this nature from the Promoter by contacting the Promoter. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information by writing to the Privacy Officer at the Promoter’s address set out below and in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.

Other

23. As a condition of entering this Competition, each entrant licenses and grants the Promoter, its affiliates and sub-licensees a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, and sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display their entry for any purpose, including but not limited to future promotional, marketing or publicity purposes, in any media, without compensation, restriction on use, attribution or liability.

24. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Competition, as appropriate.

25. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), as well as any other implied warranties under the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Act 2001 (Cth) or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (Non-Excludable Guarantees).

26. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of a prize; (g) the Participant’s participation in this Competition.

27. The Promoter does not take any responsibility for any costs related to the Participant’s entry in the Competition or use of the Prize. Winners should seek independent financial advice in relation to any tax payable in relation to the Prize.

28. The Promotion and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, and all entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales. 

29. Each Participant agrees to indemnify the Promoter, its related bodies corporate and their respective officers, employees and agents (Indemnified Parties) against any loss suffered by any of the Indemnified Parties arising out of or in connection with any breach of these terms and conditions by the Participant or a person or entity acting on behalf of the entrant.

* Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
