Make tax time a breeze with Card Portal reporting

With your Card Portal, tax time reporting is fast, accurate and easy. Access a range of reports to meet your reporting requirements and analyse your fleet expenses to see where you could be saving even more.

Reporting for EOFY and beyond

Log in to your Card Portal to access detailed reports on fleet activity, card details and transactions – including exceptions. Check your account status and track down any invoices or statements dating as far back as 4 years, or other documents needed to finalise your EOFY records, such as Purchases for BAS and expense summaries.

With all your vehicle expenses all in one place, generating and reconciling your reports for tax reporting is easy. To explore all your reporting options, choose ‘Reports’ on the Card Portal home page, then click on ‘Run My Reports’ to view the list with linked descriptions.

Reports can be generated on an ad hoc basis, but for convenience and time saving, we recommend scheduling your reporting. When you select ‘Schedule a Report’, your chosen reports will be automatically generated and emailed to you on your preferred daily, weekly or monthly basis. 

Scheduled reporting can help save time and money by reducing manual input while also ensuring that your reporting is consistent in format and data parameters. So, when EOFY rolls around, your reporting is practically already done.

For added convenience, scheduled reports can be automatically sent to multiple recipients so all stakeholders have access to the same data at the same time. For more information about scheduling your Card Portal reports, please download our User Guide.

New this year: access records back to 2023

As we continue to provide more ways to streamline your fleet expenses management, you can now access historical reporting through the Card Portal as far back as 1 December 2023. 

Historical reporting lets you compare card usage over time, monitor card expenses and drill down to particular cost centres or individual card users. For current tax reporting, audits or internal business analysis and future planning, it’s just one more way Ampol is helping to take your fleet management from A to Streamlined.

Link to your preferred accounting software for even more efficiency

By linking your AmpolCard account to your preferred business accounting software – MYOB or Xero – preparing your tax time reports is even more efficient. There are no additional costs to link your account.  

Monthly AmpolCard invoices are uploaded directly to your system, giving you an easy overview of all your fuel, oil and shop purchases as well as any extras like Roadside Assistance or Services and Repairs that you’ve added to your account.

AmpolCard transactions also record odometer readings that may be helpful for your logbook reporting and other aspects of your fleet management.

It’s easy to get MYOB working for your business

Once you’ve subscribed to MYOB, getting started is easyLog in to your Card Portal and click your relevant Account Number on ‘Accounts’ screen. Select ‘Accounting Integration’ and choose ‘Connect to MYOB.’ Accept T&Cs, log in to your MYOB account to confirm your account is linked and you’re done.
